Adding a Blog Post to your PageMaster Site

PageMaster SitesAt PageMaster we want you be successful in your online marketing. We create websites  and provide you training  to see you succeed. This post is part of our series from our Site Training Workbook.

To add a blog post choose “Posts” directly under the “Dashboard” tab in the left navigation menu in the WP-admin. We recommend that you use posts rather than pages as they have the advantage of Categories and will automatically be visible from your “blog” or “articles” page created when we built your site.

You should choose one “category” for your post, although multiple tags are okay.

You can also choose the publishing date for your post. If the post should be reviewed or isn’t quite finished you can save it as “draft” or “for review” so it isn’t available to the public until you are ready. You may also choose to prepare a number of posts and release them on different days.

If you ever post a post and find it doesn’t show up in your blog…check to see you didn’t create a page. A post is organized by its category and tags and can be found by either while the page needs to be on a menu or hard linked in a widget.

The content editor is evolving and works in both posts and pages. Here is the official word: https://wordpress.org/support/article/wordpress-editor/
