At PageMaster we want you be successful in your online marketing. We create websites and provide you training to see you succeed. This post is part of our series from our Site Training Workbook.
Pages make up the basic content of your website. Your bio page or contact page would be examples of Pages in WordPress. In contrast to Posts, which show up in chronological order as part of your blog, Pages are less timely, and more permanent pieces of content that can be organized into the Main Navigation Menu of your website. They are the pieces of content you want users to be able to easily access at all times, with a couple of simple clicks.
Pages are accessed in the WordPress Admin area with the Pages menu in the left hand admin menu. Mousing over that menu option will display a simple sub-menu inviting you to view All Pages, or Add New pages.
All Pages
This displays a list of all the Pages on your site. There likely won’t be more than can fit on one page, listed by default in alphabetical order.
Page Options
Under the name of each page, there are links to Edit the page, Quick Edit the page (edit basic characteristics of the page, like how users access it, if it is Public or a draft, etc.), Trash the page or View the Page on the front end of your Site.
Further to the right, you can also see who created the Page (Page Author), if there are any comments on the Page and when it was Published.
For now, let’s click Edit (clicking the name of the Page will do the same thing).
