Advance Image Editing In WordPress

PageMaster SitesAt PageMaster we want you be successful in your online marketing. We’ve create websites  and provide you training  to see you succeed. This post is part of our series from our Site Training Workbook.

We can also add an image from a URL, Gallery or Media Library. Here’s how you do that.

Click on the “Add Media” button and instead of dragging and dropping or uploading a file, select one of the option at the top of the pop-up window.

Adding an image from a URL means the image already exists online. The danger of doing this is that you don’t have control over if that image stays online. In time you might have broken links. Use it if you’re linking to a flickr image that you’ve uploaded there. You can also link to an audio, video or other file from a URL.

Gallery will include all the images you’ve already associated with the page or post.

Media library will show you all the image already uploaded across your site.

Once your image is inserted in the page or post, click on it gives you the option of deleting it or making some adjustments to the image. You can change the size of the image, the way text wraps around, as well as the title and link. One feature I use often is under the Advanced Settings – Image Properties. If your text is too close to your image, you can add vertical or horizontal space around it. I find 4 px gives enough space.
