Today it is 29 years since PageMaster Publication Services Inc. was registered as an Alberta corporation. At first it doesn’t seems as significant as, say 25.
But 29 is a special number in a few ways. On leap years we get a bonus day on February 29. In cribbage 29 is the highest possible hand. It is prime number. Some attribute 29 to it balance, empathy and awakening. At 29 I was working on a writing course and pushing back into my creative-analytical self.
So today, I pause and reflect on how fast time passes, and yet everything seems the same. How different things are, yet still often mundane. Many artists, authors and associations have seen their work elevated due to our assistance. Before Covid we set a goal of helping 5,000 Canadian creatives successfully publish. Life goes on. Improvements and honing bring satisfaction along with the challenges each day and year bring.
Twenty-nine years. Countless hours. Pause to reflect.
