You can keep a back up of your files from WordPress by going to “Tools – Export.”
To get a backup of all your files, select the default “All Content” and click the button “Download Export File”.
Store the file in a safe place. You can use it to move your site to another WordPress install or use it to get your site back to where you want it to be if something goes wrong.
Go to “Tools – Import” and click “Wordpress” from the list of possible sites to import files from. “Choose” the file from your hard drive and click “Upload file and import”.
